Busy times

Been quite busy lately. I have gone to Delaware, Kansas, Florida, and Illinois...

Delaware - "The First State" - Nothing great, don't care what Della wears anyway. Don't plan on going there for vacation. Spent a week in Newark. Maybe there is something worth going there for, but I didn't find it. However I had to fly into Philly....but sadly, didn't have time to check any of it out.

Kansas - "Sun Flower State" - Didn't see a single sunflower the whole trip. I spent my time in Overland Park. I felt it was a wasted trip. Fly in late, work the next day for 8 hrs, drive back to the hotel and fly home early. $1500 dollar flight for something that could have waited another few days and had a local rep drive there for $30 in gas. But hey, at least I have job security. Kansas City, MO yes Kansas City, Missouri that is where the airport is. Love it when a city is split into two by a state border. Still strange being Kansas City, you would think it would reside in just Kansas.

Florida - "Sunshine State" - Not alot of sunshine while I was there. I spent 2 straight weeks there, and every day it was cloudy and thunderstorms. Normal for this time of year. I had to cover in the office for a few people while they were out for maternity leave. It was good times. I can't complain. My hotel was located on the beach in Melbourne, FL. Yet I never set foot in the sand! HOW GREAT IS THAT! Not that I didn't have time, I had the whole weekend to do it. But I decided to do other stuff. I will be going back in October for another 2 weeks. Maybe it won't be as hot and humid. I did get evacuated from the hotel :( about 1:30 AM the fire alarm started going off, scared the crap out of me, and still being half asleep, I tried answering the phone, my cell phone, tried to figure out how to turn off the alarm....then I woke up completely, I am on the 8th floor, 8 flights down is pretty easy. There was an actual fire in my hotel. We had to stand across the street for 2 hours!!! It was just in the kitchen, so it didn't hit any rooms, and no one was hurt. So they tell us around 3:30ish we can go back to our rooms, however the elevators are still shut down. Ok 8 flights of stairs for Big Z was HELL! I didn't have to stop and rest in between flights, however when I got to the 8th floor, I was beat. Then I was too hot and sweaty to sleep, plus they kept trying to reset the alarm and it would go off, until around 5:30 in the morning. So when I showed up for work at 9AM, I was super tired.

Illinois - "The Land of Lincoln" - Ok...not going to try and comment on their state nickname. Lincoln has been dead for years. However I am staying in Chicago - "The Windy City" - Lets just say, I have added to it. Not having so much fun. The local guy is on vacation for a week, so they camped me out here in case a certain hospital calls. Yes. 1 Hospital gets this much attention in Chicago. Alexian Brothers. I guess they are very anal, and demand someone the minute they call, and they are big $$ makers for the company. Well we will see how it fares. I have been there 2 times already in 2 days. So I ordered Pizza......from Dominos. How lame is that?!? Then again, I don't even care.

Next week I have most of it off on Vacation. Time for Rendezvouz! No work! WOOT!

Long time No Blog

So it has been a while since I have blogged last. I have been pretty busy. Traveling everywhere. This week has been nice tho, no calls! I actually have sat at home for once. I went to Delaware last week. And there is nothing neat about the "First State".
Matt and Kari came out last night, we bbq'd some chicken and had dinner, followed by Rock Band on my PS3. Matt gave me the hook up on his old Xbox that was broken (3 Red Lights of Death). So after they left I tore it apart ripped off the old clamps for the heatsinks, took off the old thermal paste, cleaned everything up. Than this morning I went about about $10.00 worth of hardware and put the xbox back together. Problem solved. No more Red lights of Death. Xbox works great. Unfortunatly I don't have anything to test it with (No games to play). But as of now, it works.
Kids are doing great, playing softball/machine pitch/tee ball. Went camping a few nights. Kids took swimming lessons. Now they aren't as afraid of the water. Kylee and Kelsey now dare to jump off the diving board into the deep end.

Something to write about

Hmmmm so I guess I haven't had anything to say.

Camping this year is going to be a joke. Doesn't look like it will be that often. Father's day being this weekend we were going to go all weekend, however the kids have State Gymnastics Sat so we will be doing that. The following week we are thinking of going to watch the hill climbs in Croyden. Then in July we have a campout with Shannon's whole family so it is kind of hard to figure anything out.
Other than that...work work work work.

da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da HANDYMAN

So I put in a monster AC in our window. 25000 BTU, weighs about 450 pounds...ok exaggeration. But it is huge, has the thermometer on it and you can set it up, kinda fancy, has a remote. Took a few hours. Then I was still in handyman mode and I put up two new light fixtures in the kitchen. I ROCK. Now it is time to relax and play some playstation.

New new new new new fun :)

So it is almost my bday....8 more days.
I wanted a blu ray DVD player seems how they are High Definition, and I might as well have it if my TV has the capability....so I went and looked. The cheapest blu ray DVD player was 399.99 so after looking around the Playstation 3 is 399.99.
So I bought a Playstation 3.
Playstation 3's have a blu ray dvd player!!!
So now I have a Blu Ray DVD Player, and a Gaming Console all in 1!!!!
WOOOOOT!
Bought 2 games for it and also bought Blu Ray DVD "Golden Compass".
Watching the movie in High Def is AWESOME!!
The clarity is sooooo nice.
Nice thing is with NetFlix is I can get Blu Ray DVD's instead of regular ones at no extra charge.
So that is my Early B-day present.
Shannon and the girls went and got them Season Passes at Lagoon. I don't want one, because I can't ride any of the rides, and I turn into a babysitter. So I opted to stay at home and study the Playstation....ok so all I did was play it all day. Even tho I did go out and fix my sprinklers and test them so my lawn will be green.
So now my issue is, should I get Rock Band for the PS3 or for the WII when it comes out in June. I think I will wait for the WII version. I already have 1 guitar for the WII so I would have the full set. If I get it for the PS3 then I will be down a controller.
